Day 1

Experience the Antietam Highland Wine Trail, learn about how our regional wines are made with locally grown grapes and ingredients. Wind down the day at Big Cork’s Tasting Room, while overlooking the Appalachian Mountains, the eastern counterpart of the Rocky Mountains.

Day 2

Start your day off with a visit to Historic Boonsboro, where New York Times Best Selling Author, Nora Roberts’ Inn Boonsboro Trilogy comes alive! Shop the ‘Nora Room’ at Turn the Page Bookstore and Gifts Inn BoonsBoro along with other boutique stores nestled in the heart of town.

Dine at Dan’s Restaurant and Tap House located on the northeast corner of Boonsboro’s square, home to 24 taps flowing with beer from local and craft breweries along with a full bar. Dan’s menu strives to showcase the best in local breweries, vineyards and farms as well as giving you a taste of what else the world has to offer in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Commemorate the Civil War with a visit to Antietam National Battlefield in Sharpsburg, MD. The Battle of Antietam ended the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia's first invasion into the North and led to Abraham Lincoln's issuance of the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation. The Battle of Antietam was the bloodiest battle in the Civil War. After twelve hours of combat, 23,000 soldiers were missing, wounded or killed. 

Begin your tour of the park at Visitor’s Center, open all year long, for a screening of their orientation film. Arrange for a step-on guide from Antietam Guide Services to board your coach and narrate the stories of war!  End the day with dinner at Schula’s Grill and Crab House, Hagerstown’s 2014 “HotList” Winner for Best Crab Cakes and recipient of Trip Advisor’s 2014 Award of Excellence!

Day 3

Relish the artistic beauty at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. The Museum features special exhibits as well as a permanent collection which includes old world masters, works by Auguste Rodin, Thomas Moran and Norman Rockwell. Tour the museum’s 11 galleries and stroll through the rose garden overlooking the pond at City Park.
